Our Vision Statement: “Matachewan has always strived to preserve its friendliness and to create a progressive community that will have economic growth and bring wealth to all through strong leadership and community involvement.”

Our community is currently looking at enhancing our Community & Economic Development Strategic Plan to guide us, there have been many challenges and changes over the years in our growing town and we will continue to strive toward our community’s vision.

Township of Matachewan has so much potential for growth, our population has increased in the past 5 to 10 years giving our community increased opportunities for various types of businesses, housing development, organizing more social gatherings and so much more.

There are many opportunities for entrepreneurs to locate or re-locate their business interests in Matachewan, there are housing development opportunities, together, how can we build and sustain our economy for years to come?

There is pride we all take in why we choose to live in this wonderful community of Matachewan and support each other in building a vibrant economy for all community members and stakeholders.

We all have a vested interest in our community and your positive feedback is so important in determining our community’s future for each other, for our Seniors and for our youth and families.
